 "That this AGM note with concern that the decision to establish the review of the "Teaching Profession for the 21st Century” Agreement, chaired by Professor Gerry McCormac, was taken without consultation with those organisations which represent teachers in Scotland.  This AGM is also concerned at the wide remit of this review and the relatively short timescale provided for the publication of its report.”

 This AGM, therefore, calls on the Scottish Government to confirm that any recommendations from the McCormac Review, which impinge on teachers’ pay and conditions of service, will be subject to full and proper negotiation with the teaching unions through the SNCT.”

(iv) a request for support from the STUC and affiliated unions;

(v) responding to requests for local action as the occasion arises.”
