University Education Societies

Every University Students’ Association encourages students to set up a society on an issue or subject that is important to them.

Joining a society can improve your university experience by giving you the opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills.

The EIS is proud to have supported Student Education Societies in Aberdeen, Ayr, Dumfries, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Strathclyde and Stirling.

Our activities also include:
• Running CPD events for student and qualified teachers.
• Sponsoring social events for student teachers to network in a relaxed environment.
• Regular local and national meetings to enable you to get involved with your union.
• Campaigning to protect teacher’s terms and conditions and improve education.
