EIS/Falkirk, Clackmannan and Stirling Council - Professional Learning Event, 24 September 2016

 
The EIS in partnership with GTCS and SCEL are hosting an introduction to Professional Enquiry event at Wallace High School, Airthrey Road Stirling. Saturday 24th September 2016 at 9:30am.
 
Professional Enquiry was highlighted in Teaching Scotland's Future (Donaldson, 2011) as a way forward to support teachers to become more engaged with research to support their own learning and ultimately pupil experiences.
 
The main focus is on school-based enquiry, including consideration of:

• What is Professional Enquiry?

• Why Professional Enquiry?

• The 'How' of Professional Enquiry

• Critical considerations. 

Programme running order:

9:00 am Tea, coffee and registration

9:30 am Introductions and opening speaker- Charliane Simpson (GTCS)

10:00 am SCEL 

10:30 am Falkirk Council - Local perspective of Professional Enquiry

11:00 am Breakfast rolls, tea and coffee

11:30 am Stirling/ Clackmannan councils experience.
