EIS-UNIVERSITY LECTURERS' ASSOCIATION

The HE Unions EIS, GMB, UCU, UNISON and Unite rejected without hesitation the worst offer in the public sector. They said that the national HE employers' organisation, the Universities, Colleges and Employers Association (UCEA) had managed the remarkable feat of still managing to make the worst pay offer in the public sector by increasing their offer from 0.3% to 0.4%.

The HE unions expressed their extreme frustration at the unwillingness of the employers to commit to producing joint national redundancy avoidance materials.

Noting that there was some limited progress on proposals to set up working groups to advance equality and pay framework and data review issues, it was agreed that national officers would meet with UCEA to seek to scope out the potential for further movement and future meetings.
