OVERWHELMING SUPPORT FOR STRIKE ACTION AT SPRINGBOIG ST JOHN'S
Members of the EIS, Scotland's largest teachers' union, at Springboig St John's School have voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action. In a ballot, over 83% of the members voted yes to strike action.
The EIS believes that this is a clear indication of the level of commitment among the teachers to fight to keep the school open and secure their jobs.
The EIS now calls upon the Board of Managers to lift the redundancy letters, received by its members on New Year's Eve, and join with the staff in a positive campaign to keep the school open. The Educational Institute of Scotland , 46 Moray Place, Edinburgh EH3 6BH
