The Scottish Poetry Library hosted creative writing workshops throughout 2020-21, where poetry was both the inspiration and means of exploring well-being. Many participants took away pieces of work, as well as well-being practices that they can continue at home. Some participants have chosen to share their poetry with us, as follows:
The Scottish Poetry Library tutor, Jenny Lindsay reflects on the year of workshops in a blog post entitled ‘Finding Your Voice’, which contextualises the work of participants.
The May 21 edition of the SEJ gives a flavour of some of the work of participants, alongside their statements on the positive well-being impacts of writing.
We look forward to continuing to work with the Scottish Poetry Library in September, please look out for new workshops on the EIS Courses we Offer page.
