Message from the General Secretary

Dear Colleague

Welcome to this LR bulletin.

Clearly the pay campaign is taking up a lot of time and energy at HQ but I am please to note that we continue to provide significant CPD opportunities for members alongside the Value Education Value Teachers campaign, not least being the terrific Education Conference last weekend, with Pasi Sahlberg as our keynote speaker.

Discussions with Scottish Government around an EIS led anti-poverty CPD programme, which we discussed at a previous LR event, are at an advanced stage and I hope to be able to report further on this at you next event.

I hope you find the bulletin useful. Thank you, as ever, for all your work.

Larry Flanagan

If you are interested in attending any of these courses in 2018-19, please contact Lesley Walker.

Professional Learning Needs

Can you help us identify professional learning needs and gaps in provision?

Our next application for SUL funding will be due in the Autumn. Please share your ideas with us about what is needed. There will be an opportunity to discuss this at the May LR network meeting.
