The EIS does a range of work to tackle issues of concern to members stemming from sex discrimination, such as unequal pay, pregnancy discrimination, violence against women, occupational segregation and misogynistic attitudes. 

We have policies and guidance to support members taking forward these issues in their establishments. 

We participate in the STUC Women’s Committee and convene a Gender Issues Working Group, which advises the Equality Committee.  

We also work with a range of organisations which seek to combat sex discrimination and promote equality and respect.
