EIS-ULA New JNCHES Dispute Statutory Ballot Results

The Statutory Ballot for EIS-ULA members that are covered by the New JNCHES National HE negotiations* closed on Tuesday 20 September 2016 for the 2016-17 Pay Offer.

It was a two question ballot. The results are as follows:

Question 1: Are you willing to take industrial action short of strike action in pursuit of an improved offer?

  • Yes: 65%
  • No 35%

Question 2: Are you willing to take industrial action consisting of strike action in pursuit of an improved offer?

  • Yes: 49%
  • No:  51%

Turnout was 33%
 
The EIS-ULA Executive Committee met on Wednesday 21 September to discuss the outcome of the ballot and will be making a request to the EIS Executive Committee for industrial action short of strike action to proceed in due course.
