The 170th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the EIS will be held at Dundee Caird Hall.
The AGM opens on Thursday 9 June and runs until Saturday 11 June. Around 350 delegates (mainly teachers and lecturers from across Scotland) will attend the AGM, to debate key educational issues and to discuss EIS policy priorities for the year ahead.
There are 61 Motions and 1 emergency Motion to be debated this year, covering a wide range of issues across workload, research and external education bodies. The AGM also features keynote addresses by both EIS President Pat Flanagan (Thurs, 2.15pm) and General Secretary Larry Flanagan (Friday, 12pm).
A busy programme of fringe events this year includes, Equality Fringe Event: Supporting Transgender Learners, Prevent Duty, Meet the General Secretary and Making a Difference: EIS Reps Showcase on Friday at 12.30pm.
