Use of Cookies by the EIS

A cookie is information sent by a web server to a web browser and stored by the browser. The information is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables the web server to identify and track the web browser.

We use session cookies and persistent cookies on the Site.  We use the session cookies to keep track of you whilst you navigate the Site. We will use the persistent cookies to enable our Site to recognise you when you visit.

Session cookies will be deleted from your computer when you close your browser. Persistent cookies will remain stored on your computer until deleted, or until they reach a specified expiry date.

YouTube cookies

We embed videos from our official YouTube channel using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. This mode may set cookies on your computer once you click on the YouTube video player, but YouTube will not store personally-identifiable cookie information for playbacks of embedded videos using the privacy-enhanced mode. Search engine

The search engine on is designed by Google. All search requests are handled by Google and are recorded by their Analytics program for us to monitor in an attempt to improve navigation and usability. The information is not passed on to any third party.
