#CallingTimeOnMoreForLess

After eight years of sub-inflationary pay settlements, University lecturers are being forced to consider industrial action to secure a fair cost of living pay rise. Since 2009, the value of their pay has fallen by almost 20%! The Employers’ paltry 2% pay offer for 2018/19 compounds that real terms drop in the value of their pay. The reality is that Universities are choosing to invest in other areas – such as senior staff pay and new buildings – rather than in their staff. It’s time to take a stand to secure the pay uplift which University lecturers deserve and to ensure that their valuable skills and talents are not lost to the sector and our students. If you agree and wish to support the delivery of a real cost of living settlement for University lecturers, please sign below.
