Following protracted Industrial Action, SRUC management has agreed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) based on one proposed by the EIS to resolve the dispute.
On Monday SRUC members will be taking their 4th day of strike action and I want to update you on where we are in the dispute ahead of that action.
You are in effect withdrawing your goodwill in light of the SRUC’s failure to demonstrate its goodwill with an acceptable offer on pay and grading.
Following our third day of industrial action, yesterday reports from all the picket lines suggest that support for the action is stronger and growing.
As we enter our third week of industrial action, it is clear that the Branch remains strong and committed. The strike action is growing as indeed are our pickets at every campus.
This bulletin is intended to give you a clear picture of where our dispute with SRUC’s management is currently at and what SRUC needs to do in order for us to reach an agreement that would end the industrial action by resolving the dispute.
As we approach tomorrow’s day of strike action and the start of the Action Short of Strike Action, I wish to update members as to the dispute and how we are leaving no stone unturned to resolve the dispute at SRUC.
In addition to the continuing flow of problems bobbling along the SRUC conveyor belt we of course have the industrial action looming
