During this event, participants heard from a panel of EIS experts including; Susan Quinn (Convenor of the EIS Education Committee), Andrene Bamford (EIS Local Association Secretary for East Dunbartonshire) and Megan McCrossan, (North Lanarkshire EIS Executive member and Probationer Mentor) chaired by David Belsey.
The Panel covered areas such as GTCS Standards for Professional Registration, how the EIS negotiates at a national and local level for teachers, the range of support available from the EIS for teachers in their probationary year and beyond, what to expect in your probationary year and the benefits of becoming an active EIS member.
