Colleagues
Welcome to the final Pay Campaign bulletin of 2022! There are a few things to bring to your attention on the Pay Attention Campaign before we close for the festive break.
There have been no further negotiations since the last update. We hope that Scottish Government and COSLA have asked Santa for big calculators in their stockings…!
We will be ready to discuss pay again early in the New Year, as soon as any new offer is made.
Members should now have received an individual email indicating which one of the two dates, January 10th or January 11th, they are being called out on strike, in pursuit of our pay claim.
Ahead of each national sectoral strike day, there will be an online rally during the early evening before, where members can gather virtually to hear the latest developments and the most up to date campaign messages:
- Monday 9th January for those being called out for the Primary-sectoral strike
- Tuesday 10th January for those being called out for the Secondary and Associated Professionals strike
More info and joining details will follow after the break.

Co-ordinated Action with Other Unions
The EIS continues to work with AHDS, SSTA and NASUWT in co-ordinating industrial action and related activity in pursuit of our collective pay dispute.
AHDS and NASUWT members will join EIS members on strike on 10th January; and SSTA and NASUWT members will join the action on 11th January.

Pay Attention National Demonstration
As previously notified, we plan to march in our thousands in Glasgow again, should we need to, on Saturday 11th March.
Please save the date and encourage all your colleagues, friends and family to do the same! We want to turn the streets of Glasgow green and pink this time!
Once again, we are asking for the support of EIS members in our campaigning efforts - not only on pay - but on other critical issues such as workload, ASN support and teacher wellbeing. This survey also includes a focus on the cost of living impacts, both for you as teachers and on young people.
We would be extremely grateful if you would share your views with us and, in turn, we will share them with the key decision-makers in Scottish Education as part of our lobbying and campaigning efforts. Thank you!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Finally - all the very best for the festive season. Rest, recuperate and re-charge.
In the New Year, we resume our campaign!
