Workload Ballot

The new postal ballot on workload opens on Monday 2nd February.

Website Opening 2nd February

Ballot open now!

Look out for your ballot paper arriving in the yellow envelope and cast your vote!

If you haven't received your ballot paper by Friday 6th February, contact ballot@eis.org.uk with your full contact details and we will arrange for another paper to be sent to you.

Use Your Voice, Use Your Vote

We strongly encourage all our members to take part in the ballot. Whatever your view, your vote is essential. Every returned ballot strengthens the collective voice of our union, ensures that all voices count and that we have a stronger position in these and all future negotiations - for example on ASN, pay and class sizes.

Why we are campaigning for reduced class contact time and increased preparation time

The EIS believes that reducing class contact time will:

  • Reduce teacher workload
  • Create more permanent teaching posts
  • Provide more time for ‘preparation & correction’- time for lesson planning, differentiation and ASN, marking and assessment
  • Improve teacher health and wellbeing
  • Have a positive impact on pupils’ learning.
