Education Summit - Reducing Workload EIS proposals

As you may have read in the media, the Scottish Government recently convened a major education summit in which the EIS was an active participant. As a result of the summit, the new Cabinet Secretary for Education, John Swinney, invited all teacher trade unions to submit specific ideas on how to reduce excessive levels of workload. Despite the very challenging timescale that was set  (approximately two working days), the EIS was able to submit an extensive list of recommendations to the Cabinet Secretary.
