Teaching in a Gendered Digital Age: Safety and Solidarity

To mark International Women’s Day, the EIS is hosting an online webinar exploring how we can foster solidarity and safety in a gendered digital age.

This one-hour session marks the beginning of the EIS's new Professional Learning offer focused on tackling misogynistic disinformation and promoting gender equality in education and in the workplace.

The workshop will trace the trade union roots of International Women’s Day and explore current threats to women's equality, in particular the rising impact of online misogynistic disinformation. Building on the EIS's equality strategy, the session will discuss how we can build lasting solidarity action for equality. We will share anti-misogyny education resources such as the recently published Many Good Men resource for Upper Secondary / College, as well as plans for a new resource for Early Years and Primary.
