Join the University of Strathclyde online on Tuesdays 20th & 27th January and 3rd February 2026, from 4pm-5.30pm.
This course will explore the Health and Wellbeing of Children and Young People in Scotland, through a range of lenses. The series of three sessions will enable participants to learn about founding principles and critically consider their role as a practitioner.
The course will explore the following themes:
Children’s mental health and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
Safeguarding implications for children and young people because of domestic violence, neglect and parental substance dependence.
Participants should be aware that this course contains difficult content in relation to children and young people’s experiences.
Please note, this online course is funded for the Highlands and Islands and Argyll and Bute areas.
Booking priority will be given to people living and working in these areas. If places become available, these will be offered more widely, so it is worth still booking a place if you are interested in this course.
To register, please complete the online booking form.
Please note, these courses are funded by Scottish Union Learning (SUL). Part of the requirement of funding is the completion of basic registration forms prior to the course. We will keep in contact following your booking via our online booking system.
