22nd April 2020: World Earth Day

Created on: 22 Apr 2020 | Last modified: 23 Apr 2020

Today is the 50th anniversary of World Earth Day. Coupled with the current environment of climate change concern and Covid-19, there has never been a better time to join in the action taking place globally.

Visit www.earthday.org to find out more, participate in an event, join in on the digital global call to action, or become a volunteer.

Please remember to Tweet @EISUnion or email pmccolgan@eis.org.uk any action you have taken as part of Earth Day, or action today has sparked for you.

Organisations globally participate with their own events. For example www.space.com  hosts webinars which explore the earth from the perspective of space.

Tomorrow is World Book Night, and the Reading Agency is offering a free audiobook to download. Get ready to participate by visiting www.worldbooknight.org/.
