  • The key aspects of child development for learning and wellbeing including:
    • Working memory and attention
    • Language
    • Emotional regulation
    • Response inhibition
    • Social and self schemas
    • Spatial cognition
    • Concept development

  • How do these develop through early, primary and secondary years?

  • The crossovers and contrasts with different neurodevelopmental profiles.

  • What in the classroom supports this process, and why does it lead to higher attainment?

  • How thinking about child development can reduce the load on educators.

  • How all this relates to the increase in levels additional support needs and what we can do about it.
