Encourage, Nourish and Grow:  Supporting our youngest learners to thrive in nursery and school

We warmly welcome you to join us for a day of early years focused professional learning on Friday 6th November, 9am-4pm, at the Glasgow Radisson Blu.

The day will highlight effective methods of supporting children with their emotional development, communication skills and the best ways to support and promote positive behaviour.

What will the day look like?

A series of interactive workshops facilitated from a range of perspectives will equip participants with practical tools to take back to their settings, including:

  • Exploring the roots of distressed behaviour, from an educational psychology perspective.
  • Supporting a communication rich environment, from a speech and language therapy perspective.
  • Emotion regulation, from a counselling perspective.

Throughout the day, there will be space and time for professional dialogue, exploration of learning strategies and sharing experiences.

Who will benefit from participating?

EIS members who are early years teachers, other early learning educators, graduates, and additionally, primary infant teachers may find the day of interest.

Please book your place by Tuesday 3rd November using the online booking form.
