North Lanarkshire members are warmly invited to take part in a bespoke PACT anti-poverty professional learning session, facilitated by Eireann McAuley, National PACT Co-ordinator.
PACT is the EIS National Anti-Poverty Professional Learning Programme. This session will explore the landscape of poverty in Scotland and North Lanarkshire, including reflecting on the causes, consequences and impacts of poverty in Scotland on learners and families, and consider how educators can work collectively to help alleviate its impacts.
We are currently inviting notes of interest and would be delighted to see as many North Lanarkshire teachers as possible join us for this event and session.
Date: Thursday 3rd of December 2026
Time: 4:30pm – 6:30pm
The venue location will be confirmed closer to the time based on numbers. Food and refreshments will be provided for this session.
Please register your interest here.
Please contact Eireann McAuley emcauley@eis.org.uk and John Harris jharris@eis.org.uk for further information, and if you or your school would be interested in getting more involved in the EIS Poverty Work.
