South Lanarkshire EIS members are warmly invited to take part in a bespoke PACT anti-poverty professional learning session, facilitated by Eireann McAuley, National PACT Co-ordinator.
PACT is the EIS National Anti-Poverty Professional Learning Programme. This session will explore the landscape of poverty in Scotland and South Lanarkshire, including reflecting on the causes, consequences and impact on learners and families, and consider how educators can work collectively to help alleviate its impacts.
To reflect the scale and geography of South Lanarkshire, the same session is being offered in two locations:
• Hamilton – Tuesday 10 November, 4:30–6:30pm
• Lanark – Thursday 19 November, 4:30–6:30pm
Please choose whichever location and date is most convenient for you.
Venues will be confirmed based on numbers, and food and refreshments will be provided.
We are currently inviting notes of interest and would be delighted to see as many South Lanarkshire teachers as possible join us for this event and session.
