RGU Statutory Re-Ballot

Created on: 04 Sep 2025

The statutory re-ballot at RGU is now open.

Members at RGU have been successful in challenging senior management at the university, forcing them to reconsider their position on redundancies and resulted in a number of colleagues being redeployed. However, strike action is still necessary to continue applying pressure on the university management to resolve the compulsory redundancy dispute. Some colleagues have already been dismissed as a result of the university’s redundancy actions, and there are still EIS members employed by RGU who are at risk of being dismissed.

To continue fighting and supporting colleagues who are still at risk of redundancy and dismissal, the EIS is asking members to vote YES for strike action in our statutory re-ballot. The statutory re-ballot will run until the 23rd of September.

Whenever there is a threat to jobs, EIS members have organised, rallied and rose to challenge their employers and fight against any plans of redundancy. We are asking our members at RGU to do the same;

STAND UP!

DEFEND JOBS!

NO COMPULSORY REDUNDANCIES AT ROBERT GORDON UNIVERSITY!
