I was dismayed and angry to see that the college are planning to axe some of the most important courses off their curriculum.

Without hospitality, professional cookery, and access to Bridges there will be no opportunity for those unable to go off island, to further their learning and education. There will be even less staff able to work in hospitality and there will be a knock on that will affect tourism, employment, and wellbeing to many young people. 

It is incredibly short sighted, particularly when times are changing. Food, shopping and producing local for a sustainable future is the way forward.

We need you and all the trainers to keep this alive and in Shetland.
