Mental health focus and crisis care: support services

The mental health focus sections address some of the everyday issues that impact on our mental health, as well as a round up of services that offer support to people identifying mental health worries, and resources around loss and bereavement.

Breathing Space is a free, confidential phone service for anyone in Scotland experiencing mental health concerns.

Samaritans is a free, confidential service for anyone experiencing mental health issues.  The service also provides resources specifically for those working with young people.

Papyrus – Prevention of Young Suicide offers resources to discuss suicide with young people, as well as what to do in a crisis with both young people and adults.

Education Support is a UK wide charity supporting people working in education, and offer a free helpline, staffed by counsellors.
