The four trade unions in dispute (EIS, UCU, Unite & Unison) met
with Employer representatives in London on Wednesday 20 November
2013.
There was no progress made at the meeting towards a resolution. It
was agreed to keep channels of communication open, and it has since been agreed
by both parties to meet next week.
The EIS will update members with any progress made at those
talks.
For the avoidance of doubt, the strike for 3 December 2013 is very much on and remains the only way for the unions to pursue joint action and a fair pay uplift for 2013-14.
