PACT is an EIS-Scottish Government initiative to deliver equity-related professional learning on a national scale.
This joint commitment reflects the ambition of both the EIS and the Scottish Government to empower teachers and schools in minimising the damage that poverty does to the education and life-chances of too many of Scotland’s children.
Further opportunities for live PACT professional learning in relation to the nature, causes and consequences of poverty and socio-economic deprivation, especially with regards to school education, and how schools and teachers can mitigate the damage that it does, are planned for the summer term. Details will be publicised through a range of channels.
The PACT professional learning offer for Scottish teachers explores the nature, causes and consequences of poverty.
