Travel Expenses
Those members who attend meetings organised by Stirling EIS Local Association will be entitled to claim travel expenses in relation to the additional mileage incurred when doing so.
This will only apply when the member has travelled an additional distance of 10 miles or more beyond their normal commute from their place of residence to their regular place of work. Members may claim for the additional cumulative mileage only, and this will be reimbursed at a rate of 45p per mile.
In the above example, a member's normal commute is 20 miles from their house to their normal school. If they then attend an event and travel home, that is a journey of 35 miles. This would mean they could claim for 5 miles. (Additional milage minus first 10 additional miles).
